A Fruitful Month...

Been a rather fruitful month. I finished the penultimate edit on the draft on Iain (the final Silk Rope Masters book). It's having its final readthrough with one of my Betas and then I'll do the last edit.
I've also submitted Cookies & Crime - so the haunting of the email inbox has commenced for the next 3 months.

I was going to go back and work on a couple of WIPs that are at about the half-way point. Instead, in the middle of night (as I often do) a couple of weeks back I had the idea for a new series.
Naturally the next morning I began typing.
Ended up typing out the 1st draft of book 1 (and my Beta loved it); plus I have four more books in the series already started. I intended to keep them relatively short rather than the 80k or so I usually do. So these will all be between 15 & 30k.
Want a hint? They have vampires!
On a more personal note: I saw my medical oncologist recently and had a rather long rant about the side effects of the medication I'm on. (I still have 2 more years of taking it daily before I can be classed as in remission). The side effects are awful and he agreed, giving me a choice of doing a month break (which I ended up doing), trying another medication (which I'd already done), or giving up (which increases my risks considerably because one of the cancers I had was a rare invasive type. I was diagnosed with 2 different cancers). So despite the horrid pain and other side effects I'm back on the daily med. Anyway thought I'd update those of you who've sent me emails asking about my treatment and how I was. BIG thank you to you all for caring.
