Busy...

I finally completed the last book in the Silk Rope Masters series. I sent it off the beta readers and the response was fantastic.

I'd gotten bogged down with it last month, it simple wasn't working. But then I had a midnight eureka moment and change a major plot. It meant re-writing a lot of the book but it ended up a more realistic story. Now I've gone through a few million edits...lol.

Actually I'm doing to my final edit - the one where I listen to it being read. It's amazing how many errors you find doing that. Once I'm satisfied I'll submit it to my publisher.

As well I completed Cookies & Crime. Edited, polished it, wrote the one page synopsis, then with trembling fingers I submitted it. It generally takes around 12 weeks to hear back so I'll be on tenterhooks for a long while.

I'm not 100% confident they will accept it because it is different from my usual stories.

On a personal side - I have a new doggie!

Been looking at rescue sites but haven't been selected on any dog I've applied for. Then on a rehoming site a lady reached out to me. She had a 3 year old male Cavoodle that she could no longer keep.

We talked for a few weeks, discussing his needs, and I agreed he would be well-loved with me. So after I hired a transport company, he made the 6 hour journey to me.

He's settling in amazingly, very affectionate. He's perfect for me and has helped me deal with the loss of Zeus.
