It doesn't matter how many books I have published, I still get so excited. It's the same as when I sign a contract. What happens? I dance around the house with my dog staring at me as if I've gone completely round the bend. It's my happy dance.
So at the moment I'm happy dancing. My publisher has emailed me to day my next book is due out on 9th July.
It's a rewrite of an old book published years ago by Siren. I loved the basic story so I rewrote it and sent it off to Evernight, asking if they'd like to publish it. They agree and the rest is history!
Prefect Three is about Lucy Willis, 54, who has a chance meeting with two very attractive fifty plus men. Bisexual men, Sebastian Daley, 55, and his long-time partner, Jack Rawlings, 54. She tentatively accepts their friendship which soon develops into a love match for the three of them.
But fate deals Lucy and her men a cruel hand. When Lucy’s forced to make a choice, it’s a no-win situation for her, and she knows her chance at happiness is ended.

I enoyed writing this book because it's set in Australia, close to where I used to live - the amazing Blue Mountains. My two heroes are, I hope, likeable. One is extremely proud of his indigenous hertitage. I did a lot of research to make certain I treated him and his culture with dignity. It was an honour, especially considering one of my DIL's, and now 4 grandchildren, are from the same culture.

The book dedication is to her grandfather - part of the Stolen Generation - cruelly taken from Gamilaroi country. He was robbed of his true name—his skin name—then raised as a ‘white man’, losing his heritage, as so many were. Never forgotten.
There is a trigger warning on the book - suicide. My books always contain elements of my life, my experiences, my loves. This was cathartic for me. Writing it down exercised some well-hidden emotions of my several attempts over the years, fortunately I'm a much stronger person because of them all.
I love the cover. I have to say the cover artists my publisher has are amazing. We worked together and they created my vision perfectly.
