Catching Up...

Through all that's been happening cancer-wise I did manage to complete the first round of edits. Took longer than usual as I had to fit it in with my surgery recovery and trips to visit various specialists.

I now have the final round of edits and working on them. Thankfully there isn't much to do so should have them back to Evernight by the end of the week.

On the cancer front I see the medical oncologist this week to start aromatase meds and find out if I need chemo (thankfully only a 40% chance I'll need it); and the following week I'm seeing my radiation oncologist again to arrange CT scans and the radiation simulation and planning, ready to start radiotherapy after Easter and the school holidays.

I had hoped to work a little on my WIP but that isn't happening. I'm still trying to get a few minutes to breath - this has been such a whirlwind. From a needle biopsy February 13th to then being told I have breast cancer, then surgery, and specialists visits, my feet haven't touch ground...lol.

It's been a rush - and the pathology results from my surgery showed I have two different types of cancer in my actual breast - and one of the types was also in the sentinal lymph node.

So that brings you up-to-date with the fun and games in my life. I'm hoping by the end of May my radiotherapy will be over, then I'll need a few weeks to recover from it. The aromatase meds are for 5 -10 years. I'm hoping I don't get many side effects from both treatments.
